Salary package £24,000 subject to experience (plus quarterly Gratuities)
We are a busy 3 star hotel dealing with residential, function and corporate client. The hotel is part of a small family owned group of hotels based in the south east of England so an opportunity for career progression is also available.
We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our team who will report directly to the Head Chef and will be responsible for the following:
Helping to produce create new recipes and menus
Running the kitchen and leading the team when the head chef is away
Ensuring the brigade maintains high culinary standards
Managing food purchasing and storage
Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:
Hotel experience at Rosette level preferred but not essential
A passion for food to help deliver an excellent dining experience
Excellent organisation and communication skills
The ability to work under pressure
A proven track record for the role being applied
Good interpersonal skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Live-in accommodation is available and is subject to charges. Applicants must be UK residents or eligible to work within the UK.
