Our client is Hampshire's largest provider of affordable homes with around 850 staff. Providing quality affordable homes is only part of what they do. As a 'people' business, they work hard to create a high profile, fun, friendly working environment. Our client believes in recruiting high level expertise and investing in their staff's development, whilst looking after their wellbeing.
We're recruiting for a leasehold and service charge advisor to be based in their head office in Portsmouth. This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week.
As the leasehold and service charge advisor, you'll be the expert advisor on all matters relating to service charges and leasehold management cases. You'll develop policies, systems and processes for service charges, ensuring the client offers their customers a value for money service. You'll work closely with the finance rents & service charges team to make sure the service is efficient and delivered in a way that'll improve the customer's experience & overall satisfaction.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the client is compliant with the regulator's standard regarding individual leases. As you'll be the key point of contact for any service charges and leasehold matters, including legal proceedings, you'll attend leasehold tribunals and represent the company in court.
Ideally, you'll be educated to a degree level and hold a leasehold or housing qualification (please detail this in your application). We may consider 'qualified by experience'. Previous knowledge and experience of service charge and leasehold management is essential. Due to the collaborative working involved, you'll be a very strong communicator who's good at building and maintaining positive working relationships. Numerical and analytical skills, as well as a strong focus on customer service, are important to this role. You'll also need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for work.
Interviews will be held on 3 December 2018
