Job Description:
We are seeking a caring, compassionate, and reliable individual to join our team in Nottingham. This position involves supporting clients with a range of needs, including assistance with social skills development, physical disability support, mental health challenges, and mild learning disabilities. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others and has the skills to offer support in both social and practical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with developing and improving social skills, including helping with shopping, attending appointments, and engaging in social clubs.
-Provide support for physical disabilities, ensuring safety and mobility needs are met.
-Offer emotional and mental health support to ensure the wellbeing of clients.
-Assist with light household tasks, if needed, to help clients maintain independence.
-Encourage and support clients to participate in activities that promote personal growth and social interaction.
-Work with clients to develop and enhance their social networks and community participation.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in a care role or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
-A compassionate and patient approach with a genuine desire to help others.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to support clients with physical disabilities, mental health challenges, and mild learning disabilities.
-Must have access to a car and a full driving license to assist clients with transport needs.
-Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
-A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
Hours:
-4 hours per week.(hours to increase with more clients)
-Flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the client.
